Warranty & Returns

Faulty Goods

All goods sold by A. Cummings & Co, come with a manufacturers warranty/guarantee and are covered by the Australian Consumer Laws which A Cummings & Co will abide by.

Customers when buying a product are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Customers are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Customers are entitled to a credit or refund when goods fail to perform the task(s) for which there were meant to do.

Transaction Cancellation

In the event of a Transaction being Cancellation the customer need to notify A Cummings & Co via email or phone prior to 10am each day as the item(s) are dispatched at this time.

At this time are fund will be issued by A Cummings & Co or PayPal. Refunds will normally be processed within fourteen (10) days.

Returns

In the event that you received incorrect goods you are to notify us immediately, and return the item within fourteen (14) days. We shall pay for the return delivery costs as a result of our error.

You should expect to receive your refund within fourteen (14) days after we receive the goods. However, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your returned item, time to process your return and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request.

If you need to return an item, simply send us an email with the order number and we will advise the process to return/exchange your purchase. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Delivery

Deliveries shall be made to the address specified by you when ordering your goods. We will endeavour to do our best to deliver your goods to you on your requested date of delivery. We will contact you as soon as possible after the order has been processed to confirm a delivery date. If you request multiple delivery dates for an order you will be charged an additional delivery fee each time.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the delivery options you choose. Depending on the delivery provider you choose, delivery date estimates may appear on the delivery quotes page.

Please note that the delivery rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the delivery companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilo.

If for any reason we cannot deliver your full order on the designated day you will not be charged for additional delivery.

If you wish to change the delivery date we require no less than 48 hour’s notice prior to delivery.

If you are not at home for your requested delivery date you may receive an additional charge.

Note: There are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Goods Damaged in Transit

We recommend you thoroughly inspect your goods for any damage at the time of delivery and notify the delivery team of any damage at the time of delivery. Further, if you notice any damage to your goods you are to contact us within 24 hours on 1300 664 114.

If any goods arrive damaged we will arrange to have the damaged item/s returned to the A Cummings & Co, and either replace the product or offer you a full refund. Damaged goods must be returned to A Cummings & Co in the condition received by you with all original packaging.

Evidence of damage will be required such as photographs etc. We are unable to accept the return of any goods that have been installed, attempted to install or have used. It is your responsibility to ensure the goods are adequately packaged to ensure that no further damage occurs during return.

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Warranty Claims

Please sure to keep your Tax Invoice as proof of purchase, in the event that you misplace your Tax Invoice contact 1300 664 114 to confirm date of purchase and a duplicate copy of your Tax Invoice will be posted to you.

For assistance with a manufacturers warranty claim, please contact the manufactures Customer Care/Service number, which are contained in the manufacturer’s warranty and instructions booklets.

All items sold are covered by a minimum 12 months manufacturer’s warranty.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued by A Cummings & Co or PayPal. Refunds will normally be processed within fourteen (14) days after we receive the items.

If an incorrect or faulty item is received, please call 1300 664 114 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.

Without a copy of your receipt, a return or warranty claim on your purchase will not be possible, so it is important that retain your original receipt issued by A Cummings & Co.

A Cummings & Co will provide customers with our Reply Paid details (if applicable) or Transport Company detail to ensure faulty item(s) are returned without any additional delivery costs. However, A Cummings & Co will not accept responsibility for additional charges are incurred for postage charges if Reply Paid details or the designated Transport Company are not used.

It is recommended (at the customer’s expense) that returned items in conjunction which our Reply Paid details are sent back as registered mail. Items which come back with Reply Paid cannot be tracked, and therefore if they are lost in transit, A Cummings & Co will assume that the item(s) have not been returned.

No responsibility will be accepted for any associated charges that you may have if your faulty item's original packaging is discarded or destroyed. Please keep all original packaging intact in case the item may need to be returned.

Please allow up to 14 days turnaround for faulty items to be changed over, and re-delivered. A Cummings & Co cannot send out replacement goods until the faulty item has been received.

Goods which are returned that are not deemed faulty will be returned to the customer.

Please note that you are not covered for any damage caused to your product through incorrect usage contrary to manufacturer instructions, negligence, or accidental breakage.

Refunds which are issued on faulty goods may take up to 5 working days to process and/or show up on your statement.

We accept no responsibility for late delivery of items by Australia Post. This does not entitle you to a cancellation or refund of the order.

Refunds are only applicable to purchases made from A Cummings &Co.

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully as refunds are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind, made a wrong selection, wrong colour or simply found the item cheaper elsewhere. We recommend you carefully preview any orders before adding them to your shopping cart and proceeding with your order.

A Cummings & Co has a generous Refund Policy and will endeavour to assist the customer’s requirements at all times and if possible.

Consumer Guarantees

Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and under other consumer laws applying in each State and Territory, you have the right to have goods replaced, repaired or to receive a refund where:

  • the goods are faulty;
  • the goods are wrongly described;
  • the goods are different from a sample shown to you;

These consumer guarantees are implied into all consumer contracts and cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. These are in addition to any voluntary warranties offered by a manufacturer.

Any delivery costs to return the original product to A Cummings & Co will be at the cost of A Cummings & Co, and where A Cummings & Co considers the goods to have breached a consumer guarantee. If on examination of goods returned to A Cummings & Co are found to not be in breach of the consumer guarantees, A Cummings & Co may charge you a fee for examining the goods, and any cost to return the goods to you.

Please note that goods must be returned within a reasonable period and you may be asked to demonstrate that the problem with the goods was not your fault.

Consumer Guarantees do not apply where in A Cummings & Co’s reasonable opinion the goods became unacceptable due to fair wear and tear, or the customer’s misuse, failure to use the goods in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, or failure to take reasonable care.
